• CBC Radio Radio (Vancouver and Victoria)
• Rock 101 CFMI FM (The Bro Jake Show)
• CISL 650 (Rolling Thunder Show)
• Vancouver's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade
• Interviewed by the Vancouver Sun for the Raise-a-Reader campaign
• Appearances at varous Chapters and Indigo bookstores where John reads to children and parents and then signs books and gives away free illustrations. At Chapters Metrotown, John sold more books than at any other book reading in the past seven years,
• A reading at Killarney Preschool where John read to an audience of 165 children. John has recently been joined by a life-size Buddy "mascot" and this is an instant hit with the children
